SuperSport United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Lebohang Maboe on loan from Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 30-year-old arrives at the club on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season.

Maboe leaves Sundowns on loan, having scored 20 goals and grabbed 23 assists in 183 appearances across all competitions.

The Bafana Bafana international brings experience playing for the likes of African All Stars FC, Mbombela United and Maritzburg United.

Maboe becomes SuperSport’s third signing during the January transfer window behind wingers Enoch Quaicoe and Christian Saile.

“Lebo will add a much needed creative and attacking dimension to our play,” SuperSport CEO Stanley Matthews on Maboe.

“He has won multiple trophies and has the X factor which we hope will help us score more goals and move up the log in the Betway Premiership.”

SuperSport United FC is pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Lebohang Maboe from Mamelodi Sundowns (Loan until the end of the season).

Maboe, joined Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2018/19 season after a successful three-year stay at Maritzburg United, and has 160 games under his belt, scoring over 20 goals and contributed to 11 trophies in his seven-year stay at the club.
