Richards Bay FC coach Brandon Truter will use their extended break to recover and improve their performance to prepare for their upcoming Betway Premiership clash against Stellenbosch FC on October 25.

The Natal Rich Boys suffered their second defeat in the Betway Premiership following their 1-0 loss to Pirates at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

The defeat saw Richards Bay dropped to 10th place in the league standings with four points from their first four matches.

However, Truter’s men will have a long break to rectify their mistakes, with their next fixture taking place on 25 October when they take on Stellies in the league.

“We have a lot of fatigue, unnecessary muscle injuries,” Truter told SuperSport TV after the game.

“The boys have been together for around eight weeks during pre-season, we’re looking at time off, recuperating and working on our playing model. We need to settle and find consistency.”
