The 51-year-old left the club to join Usuthu as joint head coach with Vusimuzi Vilakazi, with immediate effect.

Zwane leaves the Soweto giants, having experience as their assistant coach, caretaker coach and head coach.

His first game in charge will be when Usuthu take on Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on October 25.

“I would definitely like to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Motaung for the unwavering support, guidance and love throughout my Chiefs career as a player and a coach,” Zwane told Chiefs’ official website.

“His belief in me has allowed me to grow from a player to a development coach and ultimately to the head coach.

“I am truly thankful for the opportunities the Club has provided which have shaped not just my career but my life. So, thank you to Kaizer Chiefs and thank you to the Chairman.”
