Sports Company Puma today presents Borussia Dortmund‘s new home kit, which combines traditional and modern elements to mark the German football club’s 110-year anniversary.
The new home shirt, which will make its debut on the pitch during Saturday‘s Bundesliga game against Fortuna Düsseldorf, takes cues from the kits of the past, combining a clean, classic look with a round neck, raglan sleeves and modern graphics on the shoulders. The woven BVB logo on the chest is supplemented by an embroidered Puma logo, as well as large ‘Dortmund’ lettering on the back.
The neck label also pays tribute to the club’s proud history, stating: ‘110 Jahre – Gestern – Heute – Morgen – Für Immer Borussia Dortmund’ (110 years – yesterday – today – tomorrow – forever Borussia Dortmund).
For functionality, Puma has produced the home shirt using its tried and tested dryCELL technology: This material draws sweat away from the skin to the surface, ensuring a pleasantly dry feeling for the body, even during strenuous exercise.
The home shirt, retailing for R999, will be available at Puma stores, Totalsports, The Cross Trainer, Takealot and selected retailers from 11 May 2019.
