RB Leipzig have confirmed that Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku has returned to training for the first time since injuring his knee prior to the 2022 World Cup.
A video on the club’s Twitter page showed Nkunku jogging out onto a frozen training pitch, saying “finally back” to the camera.

Nkunku warmed up and did some exercises, but he did not do full training.
His return comes just over two weeks before Leipzig plays Manchester City at home in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League match on February 22.
Nkunku tore a ligament in his knee while getting ready for the World Cup with France, so he didn’t play in the tournament.
Even though Nkunku hasn’t played since November, he still has the most goals (12) for the club in the Bundesliga this season.
