Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG will not be able to pull off their audicious £128-million transfer for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The big-spending Super League club have already landed Oscar from Chelsea before reports linked them with the world-record bid for the Gabon international.
However, Aubameyang’s German club have refuted claims that they have received the mega offer for the services of the 27-year-old sensation.
‘Borussia Dortmund has nothing on the table regarding this matter and we do not deal with hypothetical things,’ Dortmund spokesman Sascha Fligge told German news agency DPA.
The Gabon striker is the leading contender to win Caf’s African Playe of the Year award on Thursday and has started the 2016-17 season off in fine style scoring 16 goals in just 15 Bundesliga outings.
