AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy says his side will have to play to their strengths when they welcome Horoya to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in their next Caf Champions League Group B clash on Friday evening.
Usuthu will look to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Raja Casablanca in their opening Caf Champions League Group B clash at the Stade Mohamed V last Saturday.
McCarthy will now try to secure their first win and maximum points in Casablanca during their debut campaign in the group stages of the continental tournament.
“I think it was a great lesson for us as a first experience [of the group stages], but now we face a different challenge,” McCarthy told SuperSport TV.
“Horoya are very physical, probably more physical than Raja. The players are more athletic and they tend to be quicker. West African teams pose that kind of threat and we have to deal with it.
“But our strength is our strength. When we play here [in Durban], when we show composure and play without fear, play our game, we make it difficult for anybody.
“And I think if we can do that, instead of trying to compete against them to their strengths, we have to instead play to our strengths that is getting the ball moving and getting the players on the ball in the right areas.
“If we can do that in the final third and get behind them, then we will be OK.”
