After scoring his first goal for Mamelodi Sundowns, striker Jeremy Brockie has revealed that his confidence is high heading into the crunch Caf Champions League encounter against AS Togo-Port.
The New Zealander signed for the Brazilians in January but endured a difficult start to his career at Chloorkop after not managing to score a single goal in the 2017/18 campaign.

He, however, broke his duck against Kaizer Chiefs in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup and revealed his relief to the media at the pre-match build-up to the vital Champions League fixture.
‘Obviously, its been a long time coming, now people can stop asking when a goal is going to come,’ chuckled the former SuperSport United man.
‘I feel it’s the start of a good season to come,’ he added.
‘The coach spoke about changing the team for the Chiefs game following the Togo game and it was up to us players to put our hand up, take the opportunity and get our names in his thinking for the Togo game.’
When asked about his confidence levels and his eagerness to get onto the park, Brockie said ‘I hope that I did enough on the weekend to cement my place in the team for this Friday night, then it’s about keeping yourself in the line-up.
‘We have a lot of good players at the club, but the confidence is very high now and I feel ready to take on the Togo team on Friday if selected,’ the striker concluded.
Sundowns need all three points to keep their hopes of qualifying from the group alive when they face AS Togo-Port on Friday night, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00pm.
