Kaizer Chiefs face ASSM Elgeco Plus in the next round of their Caf Confederation Cup exploits, while Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have been drawn against Al Ahly Benghazi and African Stars for their Caf Champions League fixtures.

The ‘Big Three’ sealed their spots in the next round of the African tournament, but will not be joined by fellow South African outfit Free State Stars, who suffered a 1-0 aggregate defeat to Rwandan side Mukura Victory Sports to see them eliminated from the Caf Confederation Cup.

Sundowns sealed their spot in an emphatic matter, securing a 7-1 aggregate victory over minnows Leones Vegetarianos as they look to add another star atop their badge. Pitso Mosimane’s side face Libyan outfit Al Ahly Benghazi after they narrowly defeated Nouadhibou 3-2 on aggregate.

The 2016 champions of the Caf Champions League will be away from home in the first-leg clash.

Following a three-year absence from Caf-related competitions, Pirates breezed into the next round of the Champions League with an 8-2 aggregate win over Light Stars, where they will face Namibian club African Stars in the next round.

Giovanni Solinas’ side advanced to their next round of the Caf Confederation Cup competition, despite suffering a 2-1 loss in their return leg clash against Zimamoto in Zanzibar.  A dominant first leg display was enough to see Chiefs through, with Khama Billiat netting a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory at home. As a result, Chiefs advanced to the next round of the competition with a 5-2 victory.

The first leg matches are set to be played between 14 – 16 December, with times and venues to be announced in due course.
