Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies goalkeeper Andile Dlamini has reflected on her side winning their second Caf Women’s Champions League title in three years.
Sundowns Ladies went the entire tournament undefeated and cruised to victory in the final when they defeated SC Casablanca 3-0 at the Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo on Sunday.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament after keeping five clean sheets and conceding zero goals throughout the tournament.
Dlamini showed her gratitude toward their support while reserving special praise for the Ivory Coast and their people.
“We did it for the young girl who believes in us, we don’t talk to much but we work on the field,” Dlamini said.
“That who we are. We are Mamelodi Sundowns, we are South African and we are proud.
“Thank you so much Ivory Coast and your people, you’re beautiful.”
