Mosimane’s charges moved into second place, three points clear of Al-Hilal ahead of their clash with Mamelodi Sundowns, with a 3-1 away win over Al-Merreikh.

Goals from Percy Tau, Mohamed Serid and Ahmed Abdelkader gave the defending champions a 3-1 victory despite Agab’s equaliser on the hour mark.

AmaZulu 0-2 Raja Casablanca

AmaZulu’s hopes of qualification were dealt a major blow as they suffered a second consecutive defeat in the competition with Raja Casablanca securing a 2-0 win in Durban.

An early goal by Hamid Ahadad in the sixth minute and Ilias Haddad in the last ten handed AmaZulu a 2-0 home loss in Durban.

It was a big blow for Benni McCarthy’s men, who couldn’t break down their opposition and now face an uphill task in qualifying for the knockouts.
