Catch up with highlights from Friday night’s Caf Champions League action where AmaZulu picked up their first points of the group stage with a tight 1-0 win over Horoya while defending champions Al Ahly were held to a 0-0 draw in their group opener.

A first-half goal from Luvuyo Memela was enough to inspire AmaZulu to a 1-0 victory over Horoya in their Caf Champions League Group B encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening.

Ushutu looked the stronger team throughout and really should have added to the scoreline. However, Benni McCarthy would be pleased that his side managed to keep a clean sheet and get up and running in group B with three points.

Earlier in the day, Pitso Mosimane’s defending champions Al Ahly were held to a 0-0 draw by Al Hilal.

Mosimane named the same team that thumped Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal Riyadh in the Fifa Club World Cup, but they couldn’t replicate that performance in what proved to be a tight affair.
