Mamelodi Sundowns advanced to the Caf Champions League group stages after defeating AS Maniema Union 2-0 in the second leg of their first-round clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium this past Sunday.

Sundowns opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Lyle Lakay expertly found the back of the net from a free kick before Peter Shalulile put the game to bed in the 53rd minute to seal their progress to the group stages on a 4-2 aggregate score.
