Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa admits it was not an “easy” game against Bumamuru FC despite cruising to a comfortable victory over the Burundian outfit in the Caf Champions League.
The Brazilians put on a dominant performance to secure an impressive 4-0 victory over Bumamuru in the second preliminary round first leg thanks to a brace by Lucas Ribeiro Costa and goals from Lesiba Nku and Peter Shalulile at the Azam Complex Stadium this past weekend.
Sundowns will go into the return leg with a four-goal advantage over the Burundian outfit when the two sides meet at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening.
Lebusa felt his side should have scored more goals but insists they were happy to keep a clean sheet heading into the second leg.
“It was not as easy as the score line looks, we worked hard and I feel like we could have scored more goals,” Lebusa said.
“We missed a couple of chances but I’m happy we managed to keep a clean sheet moving to our next game.
“The goals we scored is what we worked on during training, it was beautiful I was not expecting it they went as far as country every touch we made.
“It was sort of motivation for us to make sure we don’t lose the ball and make them keep on counting.”
