Orlando Pirates midfielder Thalente Mbatha is confident his side will score more goals and play better when they welcome Jwaneng Galaxy FC to the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

The Buccaneers moved one step closer to booking their place in the CAF Champions League group stages following their 2-0 win in the first leg of their second preliminary round clash at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Pirates and Galaxy will now have it all to play for when they face off in the return leg at the Orlando Stadium this coming Saturday.

Mbatha believes his side will better their performance in the return leg as he believes the pitch conditions will be much better.

“I think we performed very well, it wasn’t a game they were playing too many long balls, the field was not okay,” Mbatha told Pirates’ official X page.

“I think we put on a show for them, we were able to balance and get two goals.

“It’s a positive result for us, take the win and go back home. I think at home we’ll be able to play better because of the conditions of the ground and I think we’ll be able to get more goals.”
