Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise says that his side have to lift their heads and prepare for their Caf Champions League final with Zamalek on October 15.
The Brazilians suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bidvest Wits in the finals of the tournament at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
The 33-year-old admits that Wits were the better team on the day but the veteran midfielder believes his side have nothing to worry about after finish as runner-up in the Top 8 tournament.
‘Look the best team won at the end of the day. We displayed a weak performance and they were on top of their game. That is not a matter to be alarmed about except for the pain of losing a final,’ Modise said.
Modise says his side have to lift up their heads as they prepare for their Caf Champions League clash against Egyptian side Zamalek.
‘There is a tough challenge that awaits us in the Caf Champions League final. We cannot hang ourselves over one competition. We have to lift our heads up and prepare for the next final,’ he added.
Mamelodi Sundowns will next take on Zamalek in the first leg of their Caf Champions League final at Lucas Moripe Stadium on October 15.
