Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mowekna says their main focus is to get as close to 10 points in Group B of the Caf Champions League to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
The Brazilians secure back-to-back wins in the group after they clinched a 3-1 victory over Coton Sport through a brace by Cassius Mailula and a goal from Khuliso Mudau at the Stade Omnisport de Garoua in Garoua.
Mokwena’s side will now turn their attention to their upcoming fixture against rivals Al Ahly when the two sides square off at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo for their third fixture of the group stages.
Sundowns currently sit at the top of the Group B standings with six points after two games, Al-Hilal are placed second with three points while Al Ahly and Coton Sport are yet to claim their first points in the group.
“I’ll say again, there are four very good teams in this group, we still have games to play,” Mokwena told his club’s official website.
“We still have to host Coton Sport in Pretoria. The focus is to get as close as possible to 10 points so that we get ourselves mathematically into a position where we can think of ourselves in the quarter-finals.”
