Pitso Mosimane has been boosted by the return of veteran goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy ahead of Al Ahly’s Caf Champions League Group A clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
The 33-year-old resumed full training with the first team on Monday at the El Tetsh Stadium after recovering from a hamstring injury.

El-Shennawy was subsequently named in Mosimane’s 22-man squad for their Egyptian Premier League match against Misr Lel Makkasa and the keeper played the full 90 minutes in their comfortable 4-0 win over Makkassa on Tuesday evening.
The Egyptian goalkeeper is now expected to be between the sticks for their mouthwatering Champions League fixture when they host Mosimane’s former side Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
Kick-off at the Cairo International Stadium is scheduled for 9pm.
