Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has announced his 23-man squad for their upcoming Caf Champions League Group A encounter with Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Eagles will be hoping to exact revenge on Sundowns after their 1-0 defeat in the first leg at the Cairo International Stadium on 26 February, with Thapelo Morena scoring the decisive goal.
Ahly will now head into Saturday’s match second in the Group A standings, level on four points with third-placed Al-Merrikh, and three points behind leaders Sundowns.
Mosimane’s squad includes Percy Tau, who was recently named in Bafana Bafana’s preliminary squad for two friendlies against France and Guinea as preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
