Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane says his side will have to work hard to defend their lead when they take on Raja Casablanca in their Caf Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Stade Mohamed V on Saturday.
The Red Eagles managed to secure a 2-1 victory over Rafa at the Al Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium in the quarter-final first leg this past weekend.
The Red Eagles will take a one-goal advantage into the second leg after goals from Amr El Soulia and Hussien El Shahat cancelled out Mohamed Zrida’s late goal in the first half, which proved a consolation.
Mosimane is delighted with a positive result on home soil but wary of the threat Raja possess at their home ground.
“There are a few elements that I will discuss with my players. We had the opportunity to kill the tie tonight,” Mosimane told his club’s official website.
“The second leg will be a very difficult game for us. We will go there and win in Morocco. I trust my team and I believe in my team. We have to trust the team. We have to support the players. We need them. Trust this team.
“We are a good team. All we have to do, is to go to Morocco and avoid conceding a goal, then we need to score a goal.
“We must defend our lead. We have two opportunities. If we did not score, we must keep a clean sheet.”
