Kaizer Chiefs forward Mduduzi Shabalala says his side are still determined and motivated to secure their CAF spot for next season.
The Soweto giants were unable to extend their winning run after falling to a 5-1 hammering to hand Mamelodi Sundowns their seventh consecutive DStv Premiership title.
The 20-year-old continued his recent form in front of goal after scoring a consolation goal at the FNB Stadium.
The defeat leaves Amakhosi in eighth place in the DStv Premiership with 33 points from 26 matches played so far this season.
Shabalala says their main objective is to secure a place in next year’s CAF competition and a top eight finish in the league.
“In the last five (four) games this season we are still looking to qualify for a CAF spot,” Shabalala told his club’s official website.
“Our aim is to get back to where we belong as Kaizer Chiefs, at the top.”
