Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says he plans to ‘inject motivation’ into his players to get the best possible result against Esperance on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers headed straight to Tunisia immediately after their 1-1 draw against rivals Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

After an enticing first leg in Soweto just a fortnight ago, Pirates will now lock horns with the reigning African champions in the return leg, after playing out to a goalless draw at the Orlando Stadium.

Pirates and Esperance are currently joint top of Group B with five points from their first three games, having won one game and drawn two.

Sredojevic is focused on getting the best out of his squad against the defending champions, as their previous result demonstrated that they can match their opposition on the field.

‘Instead of thinking about things behind us, we need to rather think of what is ahead,’ Sredojevic said on the Caf official website.

‘We are fully aware that we are playing African champions away in conditions we are not familiar with.

‘Bearing in mind we are representing South Africa, we shall inject motivation to get the best possible result. It won’t be easy, but we definitely want to give it our best shot, like we always do.’

Orlando Pirates are set to play Tunisian outfit Esperance at El Menzah when they lock horns in their Caf Champions League Group B encounter on Tuesday, with kick-off set for 3pm.
