Tau named in Al Ahly squad for Sundowns clash

Percy Tau is in line to feature against his former club Mamelodi Sundowns after the Bafana Bafana star was named in Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly squad for the Caf Champions League group stage clash against the Brazilians.

The defending champions were held to a 0-0 draw by against Sudanese side Al-Hilal in the opening game in the CAF Champions League group stage, after missing the opening round while they picked up Bronze at the Fifa Club World Cup.

With Downs top of Group A with 4 points from two games, the Egyptian giants will be looking to go level with their opponents with three points when they meet on Saturday at the WE Al-Salam Stadium.

Mosimane and his charger will undoubtedly be boosted by the return of Percy Tau, while Ali Maaloul. Centre back Mohamed Abdelmonem also returned after missing their last league game against Misr El-Makkasa.
