AmaZulu returned home to an amazing reception in South Africa after they booked their place in the Caf Champions League group stages over this past weekend.
Benni McCarthy’s men reached the group stages of the continental competition for the first time after going through on the away-goal rule, following their 1-1 draw with TP Mazembe on Saturday.
Bonginkosi Ntuli’s first-half strike broke the deadlock for Usuthu before a late goal by Mazembe’s Adam Bossu levelled matters at Stade du TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi, DR Congo.
Usuthu thus made history by qualifying for the group stages for the first time in the club’s history after progressing on the away-goal rule after the first leg ended goalless.
