Mamelodi Sundowns recorded the biggest-ever victory in the history of the Caf Champions League after trashing Côte d’Or 11-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria over the weekend.
The Brazilians reached the group stage after securing a 16-1 win on aggregate, but most importantly shattered the record of the biggest win in the premier continental club competition’s history in grand style.
Moroccan club Difaa Jadida held the Champions League biggest-win record for just over a year since when they defeated Guinea Bissau club Benfica 10-0 in the preliminary round in 2018.
