Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane says they are not comfortable with the 2-0 lead heading into the Caf Champions League second leg against Leones Vegetarianos on Wednesday.
The Brazilians managed to secure a 2-0 victory over the Equatoguinean outfit in the first league of their preliminary round last week.
Both Jeremy Brockie and Zwane got their names on the scoresheet, while Sundowns also managed to keep a clean sheet in the process.
Sundowns will now go into the return leg with a two-goal lead, but Zwane wants his side to remain focused in the hope of getting an early goal before they can relax on the pitch, although Pitso Mosimane’s side have been struggling to convert their chances in the final third.
‘We are not comfortable with 2-0. We need to get another [goal], so that we can relax and play our game,’ Zwane told the media.
‘The game is very important for us to win because we are not done yet. We know that they are going to come at us, so we need to be patient and try to convert the chances we are going to create.
‘We know that we are going to create chances, so we must convert them. At the moment we are struggling to convert goals, so we need to work hard to improve.’
“We need to stay focused and play this game like a must win game” TZ
