Marumo Gallants secured back to back wins in the Caf Confederation Cup group stages following their 2-1 victory over Saint-Eloi Lupopo at the Stade des Martyrs on Sunday.
A week after scoring four goals against the visiting Libyan team Al Akhdar, Mpho Mvelase and Ranga Chivaviro gave Marumo a two-goal halftime lead.
Patou Kabangu, a 37-year-old substitute, scored directly from a free kick in the 82nd minute to set up a tense finish for Lupopo.
Marumo must wish they could replicate their Confederation Cup form — five victories in six qualifying and group matches — at home, where they have won only three of 21 league games.
