Kwame Peprah scored the only goal to draw the game level at 1-1 on aggregate, forcing the tie to be settled in a penalty shootout after 90 minutes of regulation time.
However, Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori proved to be the hero in the shootout after scoring the winner to guide his side to a 4-3 victory on penalties, which had them advancing to the last four.
