Stellenbosch FC star Devin Titus is hoping his team continue their current moment into their CAF Confederation Cup clash against AS Vita Club on Friday evening.

The Maroons come into this encounter off the back of a victory over Mamelodi Sundowns, which saw them secure their place in the final of the MTN8.

Stellies will now welcome the Congolese outfit to Cape Town Stadium when the two sides meet in the second preliminary round first-leg.

Titus is hoping his side can build on their momentum following back-to-back victories over the Brazilians.
“It’s a privilege to be here, in this stage of the CAF Confederation Cup,” Titus said during Stellies pre-match press conference.

“The mood in the camp is very good, very happy and energetic – as you know we are an energetic club – and I think the two wins over Mamelodi Sundowns were impressive for us.

“Playing against a team like Sundowns and winning both home and away was a very good stepping stone for us heading into the match against AS Vita and hopefully we can carry that momentum heading into these two matches against them.”

Stellenbosch FC against AS Vita Club is scheduled to kick-off at 7pm on Friday.
