Al Ahly’s Percy Tau has fended off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns’ Peter Shalulile to walk away with the Caf Inter-Club Player of the Year award.
Attacker Tau defeated forward Fiston Mayele of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and striker Peter Shalulile of Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Bafana Bafana forward scored five goals in 2022–23, helping Ahly win a record-tying 11th Caf Champions League championship.
The Women’s Inter-Club Player of the Year award went to Morocco and ASFAR forward Fatima Tagnaout.
