Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says he is confident that his side can overcome Hull City in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday.
Jose Mourinho’s side are heading into their semi-final second leg with a two-goal lead after clinching a 2-0 victory over the Tigers in the first leg.
The exciting teenager is confident Jose Mourinho’s men can finish the job off against the Tigers, following a 2-0 win in the first leg at Old Trafford, but accepts the Reds must guard against complacency after the goals by Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini earlier this month.
The 19-year-old admits that facing Hull at the KCOM Stadium will prove to be difficult but he is confident that the Red Devils have the ability to book their place in the finals at Wembley Stadium next month.
‘I do think that’s the biggest thing that we’ve got to try to do,’ Rashford told the Manchester United website.
‘Leave the last game behind us because it’s done. We’re going to face new challenges when we play against them at Hull. They will have the home fans behind them and are going to be raring to go so I think it’s important we keep our focus.
‘I think if a goal goes for or against us, we must keep the same mentality – to go out there to win every game. I think if we concentrate on our own focus, then I’m confident we’ll get the job done.’
The match at the KCOM Stadium kicks off at 21:45.
