The Premier League continues to thrill fans around the world and week 32 is unlikely to be any different, writes DEAN WORKMAN.
Seven things to expect from this weekend’s Premier League action
1) Spurs to keep pressure on league leaders
Tottenham Hotspurs trail league leaders Chelsea by seven points and will need to continue to win every week in order to keep the pressure on the Blues in the hope that they drop points and allow them back into the title race. Spurs host Watford this weekend and although the Hornets have been in good form as of late, expect Mauricio Pochettino’s men to come out on top and gain the valuable three points.
2) Aguero to star for City
Sergio Aguero has had an indifferent season for a player of his caliber, although he started off well injuries and a dip in form saw him spend some time on the sidelines. The Argentine, however, looks to be regaining his best form, scoring in each of his previous games three games against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Expect Aguero to be on the score sheet yet again this week as City host Hull City at the Etihad.
3) West Ham to end winless streak
West Ham have been in a torrid run of form which has seen them go on a seven-match winless run and have seen them dragged into the relegation scrap. This weekend West Ham host relegation rivals Swansea at the Olympic Stadium. Both teams are at risk of going down and desperately need a result. Expect Slave Bilic’s men to make use of home ground advantage and secure the all important three points.
4) Sunderland to drift closer to the drop
Sunderland are in serious danger of being relegated this season after a number of great escapes over the past few years. David Moyes’s men sit at the bottom of the Premier League and are 10 points away from safety. The Black Cats host Manchester United this weekend and the Red Devils are desperate for the three points after two disappointing draws which has damaged their top four prospects. Expect United, who have been good away from home, to claim the three points and push Sunderland closer to the Championship.
5) Origi to lead the line for Liverpool
Divok Origi has been a bit part player for Liverpool this season with the majority of his appearances coming off the bench but after two goals in two games and an injury to Sadio Mane, Origi looks to have earned his place in the starting eleven. Expect the Belgium international to step up and get his name on the score sheet.
6) Hazard to star for Chelsea
After his short injury layoff, Eden Hazard returned with a bang with a match-winning performance against Manchester City where he scored two goals. Chelsea travel to face Bournemouth this weekend and expect the Belgian international to be the star man for the Blues yet again.
7) Palace to take point off Arsenal
Crystal Palace are still well and truly in the relegation battle while Arsenal faces a battle of their own in trying to get into the top four. Palace sits three points above the relegation zone while Arsenal sits four points off the top four. Expect both teams to go all out for the points which could see the match ending in a stalemate.
