Craig Dawson scored twice as West Bromwich Albion stunned Arsenal with a 3-1 home win in Saturday’s early kick-off.
The Gunners fell behind when Dawson headed in Nacer Chadli’s corner on 12 minutes.
Alexis Sanchez equalised three minutes later, but Petr Cech, before leaving the field injured, had to save from Salomon Rondon.
Albion restored their lead on 55 minutes when substitute Hal Robson-Kanu prodded in, as Chadli’s lofted pass rebounded kindly. Danny Welbeck struck the bar for Arsenal, and Dawson struck again, on 75 minutes, from James McClean’s corner.
The Baggies stay eighth, with 43 points, while Arsenal are five points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool following their fourth defeat in five Premier League matches.
