Manchester United defender Daley Blind says he is confident that the Red Devils can book a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
The Red Devils recently claimed a 2-0 victory over Watford in the Premier League and have now one point behind Manchester City and Liverpool with 49 points in fourth and fifth respectively.
The Dutch international says his side will now focus on finishing in the Premier League’s top four following their victory over the Hornets on Saturday.
‘It will be close and we’ll need to focus and win our games but I’m sure we’ll be in the top four by the end of the season,’ Blind told the Manchester United website.
The 26-year-old insists that his side deserved to walk away with all three points after creating most of the chances throughout the match but he believes United should’ve won by a bigger margin.
‘You want to finish the chances. The second goal was good for Anthony and well deserved,’ He added.
‘We deserved to win and created many chances. We could have finished more of the chances; everyone wanted the ball. The second half was more difficult as they changed their system a bit but, overall, it was a good win.’
Manchester United will now turn their attention to the Europa League Last 32 when they welcome Saint-Etienne to Old Trafford on Thursday.
Kick-off has been set for 22:05.
