Brighton & Hove Albion have welcomed Percy Tau’s loan move to Club Brugge as they feel it will further develop his undoubted talent.
The 25-year-old is set for another campaign away from the Premier League outfit after joining Belgian First Division A side Club Brugge on a season-long loan.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker returns to Belgium after spending the entire 2018-19 campaign on loan at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, where he found the back of the net 11 times and assisted a further 13 from 34 appearances in all competitions.
Tau’s impressive performances in the Belgium second tier did not go unnoticed as he was named the Proximus League Player of the Year in his maiden season playing in Europe.
The Bafana Bafana international was signed by the Seagulls on a four-year deal but is yet to feature for the first team.

Brighton’s technical director Dan Ashworth said: ‘This is a great move for Percy. It’s a step up to the next level in Belgium, and he also has the prospect of Champions League football.
‘It comes off the back of an impressive Africa Cup of Nations campaign with South Africa, and will give Percy the opportunity to further develop his undoubted talent.’
