Chelsea have completed the £30 million signing of Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall will now reunite with manager Enzo Maresca after he put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Blues, with the option for another year.

“It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,” Dewsbury-Hall told his club’s official website.

“This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do.”

After joining Leicester at the age of eight, Dewsbury-Hall made his senior debut in January 2020 during an FA Cup match against Brentford. After that, he played on loan in League One for Blackpool, where he scored four goals in just ten games.

He played in the Championship on loan with Luton Town during the 2020–21 season, showcasing his skill and potential in over 40 appearances to secure a spot in Leicester’s first team before the next season.

Dewsbury-Hall rose to prominence in the Foxes lineup for the 2021–2022 season. After assisting Leicester in making it to the semi-finals, he made 44 appearances in all competitions and was selected for the UEFA Europa Conference League Team of the Season.

After making 34 more appearances for Leicester in the 2022–2023 season, Enzo Maresca joined him at the King Power Stadium in the summer.

Dewsbury-Hall made 49 appearances, scored 12 goals, assisted Leicester in winning promotion to the Premier League, was voted the team’s Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Season, and was included in the Championship Team of the Year under our new head coach.
