Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho insists he would like to continue his current form, after scoring the equalising goal against Stoke City on Saturday.

The Reds came from a goal down to beat the Potters after Jonathan Walters opened the scoring, before goals by Coutinho and Roberto Firmino sealed the victory on Saturday.

Coutinho has played a vital role in Liverpool’s success this campaign, having already netted 10 goals and assisted a further eight from 30 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The 24-year-old says that he would like to add to his goal tally and help his side collect maximum points in their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

‘I want to be involved with the team,’ Coutinho told the Liverpool website.

‘I want to keep going, to keep scoring and helping my team, and keep learning from my manager. This was a big win. There are a lot of points to fight for and every game for us is important.’

The Brazilian midfielder has credited his side for their contributions leading up to the comeback against Stoke at the Britania Stadium.

‘It wasn’t just about Roberto and me. The team played well [in the second half], we created more chances and then we scored the goals. I think the team played well, not just individuals,’ he added.

Liverpool will next take on West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday.

The match at the Hawthorns kicks off at 14:30
