Manchester City should not expect Pep Guardiola to set any records as the club’s long-serving manager after becoming estranged with the Premier League.
City came from behind, with 10 men following Fernandinho’s straight red card for a wild challenge, to keep pace with the league leaders but his post-match interview gave further insight into his relationship with the challenges of managing in the Premier League.
‘I will be at Manchester for the next three seasons, maybe more,’ the City manager in an NBC interview.
‘But I am arriving at the end of my coaching career of this I am sure. I will not be on the bench when I am 60 or 65 years old, of that I am sure. I feel the process of my goodbye has already started.’
