Chelsea wing Eden Hazard has conceded his side has no excuse for having failed to pick up a win in three straight Premier League matches.

The Blues began the season on the front foot as they recorded back-to-back victories before being held to a draw by Swansea. The side then fell to a narrow defeat at the hands of Liverpool before being stunned by a fluent Arsenal at the Emirates.

Hazard has admitted he has failed to play at his best in the side’s poor run of matches but maintains Chelsea win and lose games as a collective.

‘There are no excuses,’ he told Chelsea’s official website. ‘It was not good. We lost too many duels. We came to win the match but we made mistakes, for the first goal, another for the second and then before we knew it we were already 3-0 down.’

Hazard pointed out that his side have had to battle back in a series of games in recent weeks.

‘Every weekend at the moment we having to come back and score. We did it at Leicester but against Arsenal, who were playing at home, it was not possible.

‘They played well. We need to be better. In the last three games in the league there have been nine points available and we have got one. It is disappointing. We need to go away and work on what we are doing wrong ahead of the big matches that are coming up.’

Chelsea are next in action when they travel to Hull City’s KC Stadium on October 1.

Kick-off will commence at 16:00.
