Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that he is unsure about the availability of Jordan Henderson ahead of their clash against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.
The 26-year-old captain missed out on his side’s 3-1 defeat against Leicester City after sustaining a foot injury in training in the build-up to the game and was forced to watch from the stands.
The Reds are currently placed fifth in the Premier League standings with 49 points and have now won 14 out of 26 matches played so far this season.
The German manager remains unsure as to the availability of Henderson for their up and coming Premier League clash against the Gunners.
‘It looks like he will not be ready for Arsenal. That’s how it looks but I’m not sure, we will see,’ Klopp told the Liverpool website.
Henderson has netted just one goal and has assisted a further four from 31 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League, one point and one place above rivals Liverpool but have a game in hand over the Reds having not played this weekend due to Southampton being in the EFL Cup final.
Liverpool will next welcome Arsenal to Anfield when the two sides go head-to-head in the Premier League on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
