Liverpool kept their chances of a place in next season’s Champions League alive following their thrilling 4-2 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Roberto Firmino scored twice on either side of half-time after Diogo Jota cancelled out Bruno Fernandes’s early opener for the home side before Marcus Rashford pulled a goal back but Mohamed Salah secured a vital win in the final minutes of the match.
Liverpool have now moved up to fifth in the Premier League standings with 60 points while Man Utd remain second on the log with 70 points.
