Burnley manager Vincent Kompany was full of praise for Lyle Foster after he scored on his return from suspension in their 2-1 win over Luton Town on Tuesday.
The Clarets have finally secured their first win in the Premier League after they defeated Luton at the Kenilworth Road in Bedfordshire.
After sitting out three games, Foster scored a cool goal right before halftime to celebrate his return.
At Kenilworth Road, substitute Jacob Bruun Larsen equalised for LutonTown with a tremendous effort from outside the area in the 84th minute.
Kompany applauded Foster for his performances and goal upon his return from a three match suspension.
“It was a shame for him to be ruled out the last three games after starting strong but it showed signs of being in a place where he belongs,” Kompany said.
“Lyle Foster coming back made a huge difference. The football we played in the first half was really good. We had some good moments. But at the moment we need a few chances to score. The second half was more character.”
