Leeds United have completed the signing of United States midfielder Weston McKennie on loan from Juventus until the end of the season.
The loan fee to move McKennie to the Premier League club was said to be £1 million ($1.2 million). A work permit is needed before the signing can happen.
The 24-year-old has played 41 times for the United States and started all four of their World Cup games last year in Qatar.
After Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson joined Leeds in the offseason, McKennie is the third USA international to join Jesse Marsch at Leeds.
McKennie started his career at Schalke, where he played 91 games. In 2020, he became the first American to sign with Juventus, at first on loan.
He has played 96 times for Turin club in all competitions and scored 13 goals.
McKennie is the third player Leeds has brought in during the January transfer window. Before him, Georginio Rutter came from Hoffenheim and Max Wober came from RB Salzburg.
This weekend, Leeds could send McKennie to Nottingham Forest for his first game.
