Liverpool kept the pressure on Newcastle United and Manchester United after they snatched a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham at Anfield on Wednesday evening.
The Reds have now won five consecutive Premier League games for the first time this season.
The game was decided by Mohamed Salah’s 29th goal of the season, which he scored from the penalty spot after Issa Diop fouled Darwin Nunez six minutes before halftime. The Egyptian shook off his recent struggles from the spot to convert the penalty after Issa Diop fouled Nunez.
“Five games in a row is good. I liked it a lot. We have to try to do something we can use, something we can build on in the next season,” said Klopp.
