Liverpool have confirmed that Croatian defender Dejan Lovren has returned to the squad following his knee injury.
After a two-week break from action following the FA Cup, Liverpool resumed their Premier League campaign with a disappointing 3-1 defeat against defending champions Leicester City on Monday.
Lovren has managed to score two goals and has assisted once from 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
The 27-year-old linked up with the rest of his teammates for his first training session at Melwood on Thursday ahead of their next Premier League clash against Arsenal on Saturday.
The centre-back, who has missed out on the Reds’ last three matches following his knee injury, put himself in contention to face the Gunners as he joined his teammates for a session.
The Reds are currently placed fifth in the Premier League standings with 49 points and have won a total of 14 matches out of 26 played so far this season, trailing the Gunners by a point and having played one extra match.
Liverpool will next take on Arsenal in what is expected to be an entertaining match in the Premier League on Saturday.
The match at Anfield kicks off at 19:30.
