Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were forced to share the spoils at the Etihad Stadium after playing out to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
City got off to a good start and came close to breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute when Pablo Zabaleta’s from the edge of the box was guided inches wide of the crossbar.
In the 37th minute, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris came to his side’s rescue when he produced a fine save to deny Sergio Aguero’s effort at goal.
However, City eventually opened the scoring in the 49th minute when Leroy Sane slotted the ball into an empty net, capitalising on an error from Lloris.
The home side then doubled their lead in the 53rd minute when Kevin De Bruyne put the ball into the back of the net from six-yards out after another error from Lloris.
However, Spurs eventually pulled a goal back in the 57th minute when Dele Alli headed latched onto a cross from Kyle Walker before heading the ball into the back of the net.
The visiting side then levelled matters in the 77th minute when Christian Eriksen picked out Son Heung-min before he slotted the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box to make it 2-2.
Both sides pressed forward for a late winner in the closing stages of the match but struggled to carve out clear-cut opportunities at goal as the match ended in a 2-2 draw after the final whistle of the match.
