Manchester United steamrolled Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday and record signing Paul Pogba proved instrumental in firing the side.
Playing in a roaming midfield role, Pogba proved his class as he dictated the tempo of United’s play while expressing himself with his range of passing and creativity.
The midfielder helped his side create numerous scoring chances as he played a hand in the side’s second goal while netting the fourth himself with a powerful header from a corner.
According to SoccerClub’s Opta-powered match stats, Pogba made 86 successful passes in the match with an accuracy of 87 percent. The Frenchman had two efforts on goal in the match – including his headed goal – while he also helped his side defensively by contributing three clearances.
Pogba also demonstrated his fantastic ability in the air over the course of the match as he came out on top in 100 percent of his aerial duels.
United ultimately cruised to victory by a 4-1 scoreline thanks in great part to Pogba’s near complete midfield performance.
