West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet does not want to play for the Premier League outfit, according to manager Slaven Bilic.
The 29-year-old Frenchman joined West Ham in 2015 in a deal worth £10.7-million and went on to score 12 goals and assisted as many in a wonderful debut campaign. His club form sparked interest from the national team with Payet going on to play a starring role as France finished Euro 2016 as runners-up.
Reports suggest Barcelona and PSG were keen on ending Payet’s time in London but the Hammers refused to entertain such talks. Now, the France international is desperate to quit the club with Marseille ready to bring him back to Ligue 1.
‘We have said we don’t want to sell our best players, but Dimitri Payet does not want to play for us,’ Bilic told the media.
‘We are not going to sell him.’
Payet is training away from the first-team squad and will not play in Saturday’s home game with Crystal Palace.
