Chelsea manager Graham Potter praised his side after they ended their five game winning run following their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount saw the blues secure their first victory since October 16 and end their poor run in the Premier League.
The win for the Blues sees them move up to eighth place on the table and within six points of the top four.
“You have to use breaks as best you can,” Potter told Amazon Prime.
“Evaluate and reassess and get injured players back. We used it as best we could even with players coming back at different times.”
But the win came at a cost, as England’s defender Reece James had to leave with a limp after coming back from a knee injury that kept him out of the World Cup.
James sailed through the first half, but early in the second, he asked for a sub and looked sad as he pointed to his knee before going down.
“You can see his quality. It’s a blow for us,” added Potter. “I’m not sure on the state of the injury. It’s too early to say.”
