TFGSoccerClub editor Wade Pretorius challenges Cape Town City midfielder Matt Sim to test his Premier League knowledge.
*UPDATE: While Cape Town City advanced to the last four of the 2016 TKO, Sim was unable to join teammate Aubrey Ngoma in the winner’s column by pipping our pro in a weekend filled with upsets. It was a closely fought contest but the Australian midfielder, who correctly predicted 4 of the 10 results, came up three points short of our editor’s tally of 7.
The former Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder is the next professional star to step up to the challenge of facing our in-house Superbru expert, who easily beat Sky Sports analyst Paul Merson last week.
Sim is currently enjoying a fine debut campaign in the PSL with new franchise, Cape Town City, flying high on the local scene. The Australian midfielder, who netted against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 on debut, is a lifelong Manchester United fan.
‘I’ve been a fan of the club since I was born,’ Sim told TFGSoccerClub.
‘My favourite moment? It must be THAT Champions League win over Bayern. It was an incredible comeback with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham scoring at the death to hand us the trophy.’
Sim’s Cape Town City side will be looking to book a place in the last four of the 2016 TKO when they travel to face Baroka on Saturday.
